Question on what suitable for beginner

keen on either a turtle but not longneck  -Monitor - Dragon - Equlies -  small snake up to about 60cm - something I can see and not real hard to look after - the biggest problem I see is they are near impossible to buy - I like them all but any help would be greatly appriciated - thanks mal - ps love my the Green Tree frogs and the pigmy Bearded.........................any suggestions - i really like legless lizards but don't think any are legal in Wa - Frill Neck are great but probaly not for a beginner as have a big appertite and need expensive lighting - please correct me if i'm wrong as i would love one if not too demanding...........wa is very strict on what you can keep but all suggestions most welcome - my main aim i guess is to get something that is happy in a confined space because if they arn't they will be stresed - best answer is - bonem@iinet.net.au - or 0416-456-607 - please help a newbie - thanks
