WAHS is Moving Venue
« on: January 22, 2017, 09:23:29 AM »
Hi,

The WAHS Commmittee are pleased to announce we are moving to a new venue for our monthly meetings.

We appreciate you all enjoyed the Herdsman Lake location, and we did too (we have not taken this decision lightly), but due to financial reasons, the committee have chosen to locate to a more affordable location. We will now be holding our monthly Friday meetings at The Wembley Community Centre. The savings in venue cost will help us keep our Society running, and free up extra money for the upcoming Expo17!  Furthermore, this new location is only a few minutes away from our old location, and it also has good facilities, including a good sized room, bathroom facilities, and gazebo.

The Wembley Community Centre is located between Alexander Street and Jersey Street in Wembley (please see attached Google map link). There are 2 car parks available. One on Jersey Street and a larger and closer one to our building entrance, off Alexander Street. Our entrance and exit to the building is next to the gazebo.(see attached map)

Here is a link to Google maps showing both the Guild League (Old Venue) and the Wembley Community Hall (New Venue) https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Wembley+Community+Centre/@-31.9324684,115.8050234,16z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x2a32a5773533ae13:0xe042a159827502a4!8m2!3d-31.9357645!4d115.8109457

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at our first meeting of the year at Wembley Community Hall 7pm on Friday 3rd Febuary 2017. Our quest speaker is Joe Porter, speaking on Herping in Central America and Galapagos.

Your Sincerely,

Andrew Wingate
