South western Crevice skink Egernia napoleonis
This medium sized skink can be found in the South - Western corner of Western Australia, from Green Head, to Twilight Cove, and it also lives on many offshore islands.
It is of olive brown to dark grey colouration, with a series of three longitudinal dorsal lines, made from dark spots, also can have a scattering of white spots on the sides, and its scales are strongly keeled. It is arboreal and rock inhabiting and so shelters in hollow trees, in rock crevices and under bark.
Its diet consists of soft plants, spiders, insects and smaller lizards. It mates in spring, and in late summer can give birth to two to four live young.
