Pilbara Pythons, a Western Australian based business can supply a limited number of reptiles and amphibians to licensed keepers and dealers throughout Australia.
Due to a change in legislation in 2003, it is now possible to keep reptiles and amphibians within this state if you can obtain a reptile keeper’s license. Reptiles that are permitted, are drawn from a list of animals deemed to be suitable as pet herptafauna.
This list totals 41 species, which are placed into four categories, starting from category two through to category five. A license for each category is subject to individual qualifications based on experience and ability etc.
From this list of 41 species Pilbara Pythons is licensed to supply to the public both captive bred and wild- caught reptiles and amphibians, both in W.A. and other states. Pilbara Pythons aim to provide reptiles in prime condition, and at reasonable prices similar to other states, and when dealing with wild caught specimens will ensure that these animals are quarantined , wormed , rid of parasites, and where possible, feeding.
This will obviously delay the availability of animals from the time caught, to the time for available purchase.
We hope to keep this web site updated on a weekly basis with all new stock that we receive, and with the growing interest of this wonderful hobby within this state, aim to evolve this web site into a quality educational place of resource to promote the care and conservation of our native Reptiles.
